2013 in a Nutshell

My New Years Resolution did not pan out well. So we are going to do this quick and easy. Here is a recap of our year so far!


January- We celebrated New Years at home with the kiddos and great friends. We had a blast as usual and it was Quinn's first New Years.

February- In February we celebrated Quinn's 1st birthday. She had a "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" party. We affectionately refer to her as "Quinny Bear" so it seemed fitting. It was amazing to celebrate the first year with our crazy little girl.

March- In March, Edison had his two front teeth pulled. He had done so much damage to them early in life that the roots disintegrated. We had them pulled to prevent abbesses from forming. He won't get his new teeth in until around 6 or 7. Luckily, he is pretty darn cute without those teeth!

April- In April we celebrated Easter at my parents house. It was the last holiday we celebrated at our childhood home.

I also took part in the Relay for Life. It was a great event and I made it over 24 hours without sleep!!

May- In May, I said goodbye to my amazing teammates as they left for new opportunities at new schools. We all keep in touch and hope to be together again someday.

June- In June we were so fortunate to go to Disneyland with Grammy, Papa, Amanda, and Auntie. We celebrated Edison's birthday in style. My dad was even able to go on a few rides despite not feeling the greatest.

We celebrated Edison's 4th birthday this year. He had a firetruck birthday this year. We even had a real firefighters outfit to try on! (Thank you Bobby!!)

July- In July, we moved my parents into their new home closer to us! We also celebrated 4th of July at home with the kids.

August- In August, we took our annual trip to Lake Powell. Unfortunately, we had to make the journey without my mom, dad and sisters. However, we did get to go with my grandparents, uncle and cousin Matt. We had a wonderful time!

September- In September we were part of an amazing event for my dad. The Kahler Daddy-Daughter Dance. It was a fundraising event as well as a chance for my sisters to have a wedding dance with my dad. It was an unbelievable event and I sincerely thank everyone who was involved to make this one of the most memorable days of our lives!

We celebrated Doug's birthday at San Tan Flats this year and with my parents at their home . He is the ripe old age of "21" this year!

 October- In October, we traveled to San Diego to attend my cousin Kayla's wedding. It was beautiful and we had a great time enjoying the beach, weather, and great company! We even got to see my cousin Alyssa and her beautiful girls Abigail and Adeline. Quinn and Edison had a blast, even though it was only for a short time.

 

So far, it has been a crazy, eventful, whirlwind of a year. There will be more to come for 2013!!
